On Tuesday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets are facing off at Ball Arena for the first game of the 2023-24 regular season.

For the game, both teams have finalized their injury reports and starting lineups.

The Lakers have ruled out Colin Castleton, Alex Fudge, D'Moi Hodge, Jalen Hood-Schifino and Jarred Vanderbilt.

Meanwhile, the Nuggets will be without Jay Huff and Vlatko Cancar.

Michael Porter Jr. has been upgraded to available.

Last year, he averaged 17.4 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.0 assists per contest while shooting 48.7% from the field and 41.4% from the three-point range.

Underdog NBA has announced the starting lineups for both teams. 

Via Underdog NBA: "Lineup alert: Nuggets will start Murray, Caldwell-Pope, Porter Jr., Gordon, Jokic on Tuesday."

The Lakers are coming off a season where they were the seventh seed in the Western Conference with a 43-39 record. 

They beat the Memphis Grizzlies (second seed) and the Golden State Warriors (sixth seed) in the first two rounds of the NBA playoffs but lost to the Nuggets in the Conference Finals. 

Meanwhile, the Nuggets were the first seed in the west with a 53-29 record. 

They defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves (eighth seed), Phoenix Suns (fourth seed) and Los Angeles Lakers (seventh seed) in the first three rounds of the playoffs. 

In the NBA Finals, the Nuggets beat Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat (in five games). 

Before Tuesday's game against the Lakers, the Nuggets received their 2023 NBA Championship rings.
