LeBron James' Honest Quote About The Golden State Warriors
On Monday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Golden State Warriors by a score of 104-101 in Game 4 of their second-round playoff series.
They are now a perfect 5-0 at home during the 2023 NBA Playoffs and have a 3-1 lead in the series.
Game 5 will be on Wednesday night at the Chase Center in San Francisco, and the Lakers will have the chance to close out the series.
That said, their best player LeBron James knows how hard it is to beat the Warriors (he faced off against them four times in the NBA Finals during his second tenure with the Cleveland Cavaliers).
After Game 4, James met with the media and shared an honest quote about the Warriors.
James: "One thing about when you play Golden State, you don't have an opportunity to relax. You just don't, so I'm not worried about us going in there comfortable. You just can't do it vs. Golden State. It's not possible."
James finished the game with 27 points, nine rebounds, six assists and one block in 43 minutes of playing time.
He was seen at the arena getting up shots five hours before tip-off.
At 38, James is still among the ten best players in the NBA and averaged 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds and 6.8 assists per contest while shooting 50.0% from the field during the regular season.
He is in his fifth season with the Lakers and led them to the 2020 NBA Championship over the Miami Heat.
