LaMelo Ball's Incredible Highlight Is Going Viral In Hornets-Spurs Game
On Friday evening, the Charlotte Hornets are facing off against the San Antonio Spurs in Texas.
LaMelo Ball made his return to the starting lineup, and during the first half, he had an incredible highlight.
The 2022 NBA All-Star showed off his impressive handle and then finished off the play with an excellent layup.
Ball is playing in his first game since November 26 and came into the night with averages of 24.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, 8.2 assists, and 1.4 steals per contest while shooting 44.3% from the field and 38.8% from the three-point range.
The Hornets are the 13th seed in the Eastern Conference with an 8-27 record in their first 35 games.
They are 1-9 over their last ten games and in the middle of a three-game losing streak.
Most recently, the Hornets lost to the Sacramento Kings by a score of 123-98.
Following the Spurs, they will travel to Florida to face off against the Miami Heat on Sunday evening.
Ball was the third pick in the 2020 NBA Draft and is in his fourth season in the league (all with the Hornets).
His career averages are 19.9 points, 6.3 rebounds, 7.4 assists and 1.5 steals per contest while shooting 42.8% from the field and 37.8% from the three-point range in 177 games.
As for the Spurs, they are the 15th seed in the Western Conference with a 6-30 record in their first 36 games.
They are 2-8 over their last ten games and will host the Chicago Bulls on Saturday.
