On Saturday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers and Indiana Pacers are facing off in Las Vegas for the In-Season Tournament Championship.

During the second half, superstars LeBron James and Anthony Davis connected for an alley-oop that is getting a lot of attention on social media.

James drove to the basket and threw up a lob to Davis, who finished the play off with a slam dunk.

The winner of Saturday's game will be the first-ever In-Season Tournament Champions, and each player (and head coach) will be awarded $500,000.

Davis and James are in their fifth season together as teammates and led the Lakers to the 2020 NBA Championship over the Miami Heat.

They have made the NBA playoffs in three of the previous four seasons and are coming off a year where they reached the Western Conference Finals.

Davis came into the evening with averages of 22.7 points, 12.7 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.0 steals and 2.7 blocks per contest while shooting 53.3% from the field and 23.1% from the three-point range in 22 games.

Meanwhile, James has also played in 22 games and is averaging 25.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 6.6 assists and 1.5 steals per contest while shooting 55.3% from the field and 40.7% from the three-point range.

The Lakers are the fifth seed in the Western Conference with a 14-9 record in their first 23 games (they are in the middle of a three-game winning streak).

They will play their next game on Tuesday evening when they visit Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks in Texas.
