On Wednesday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers faced off against the Los Angeles Clippers as the road team.

The game was an absolute thriller as the Lakers overcame a 19-point deficit heading into the fourth quarter and won by a score of 116-112.  

Four-time NBA Champion LeBron James led the way with 34 points, six rebounds, eight assists and two blocks while shooting 13/21 from the field and 7/12 from the three-point range in 37 minutes of playing time. 

During the game, James had a huge block that went viral on social media. 

James came from behind to swat Amir Coffey's shot. 

James is still among the best players in the league at 39 years old and is averaging 25.2 points, 7.1 rebounds, 7.9 assists and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 52.6% from the field and 40.8% from the three-point range in 52 games.

With the victory, the Lakers improved to 32-28 in 60 games, which has them as the ninth seed in the Western Conference.

They are 7-3 over their last ten games and will return to action on Thursday evening when they host Kyle Kuzma and the Washington Wizards in Los Angeles.

As for the Clippers, they dropped to 37-20 in their first 57 games, which has them as the fourth seed in the Western Confernece. 

They are 5-5 over their last ten games and are also in the middle of a two-game losing streak. 

Following the Lakers, the Clippers will host the Wizards on Friday evening.
