LeBron James Made NBA History In Nuggets-Lakers Game

LeBron James made NBA history during Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals.

On Saturday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers lost Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals to the Denver Nuggets by a score of 119-108 on their home floor at Crypto.com Arena.

The Lakers have fallen into an 0-3 hole in the series, and Game 4 will be back in Los Angeles on Monday night.

No team in the league's history has ever come back from an 0-3 deficit.

Despite the loss, LeBron James made NBA history during the game.

The four-time Champion finished the night with 23 points, seven rebounds and 12 assists in 43 minutes of playing time.

He has now moved ahead of Hall of Famer Bill Russell for fifth all-time on the Playoff double-doubles list.

Via NBA History: "With 23 PTS and 12 AST in Game 3, LeBron James is now 5th all-time in Playoff double-doubles.

Tim Duncan - 164

Magic Jonson - 157

Wilt Chamberlain - 143

Shaquille O'Neal - 142

LeBron James - 138

Bill Russell - 137"

James is 38 but still remains among one of the best players in the league.

Through the first 15 games of the 2023 NBA Playoffs, he has averaged 23.5 points, 9.9 rebounds, 6.3 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.2 blocks per contest while shooting 48.9% from the field.

The Lakers are the seventh seed in the Western Conference and have defeated the Memphis Grizzlies and Golden State Warriors in the first two rounds.

If they are able to win Game 4 and keep the season alive, Game 5 will be back in Denver on Wednesday night.
