LeBron James' Status For Kings-Lakers Game

LeBron James has been ruled out for Wednesday's game.

On Wednesday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers will face off against the Sacramento Kings for their third preseason game.

They are coming off a 129-126 victory over the Brooklyn Nets on Monday.

For Wednesday's matchup, the Lakers will be without their best player, as LeBron James has been ruled out.

Via ESPN's Dave McMenamin: "LeBron James will not play in the Lakers’ preseason game against the Kings in Anaheim on Wednesday, according to coach Darvin Ham"

In Monday's game, James played 17 minutes and had ten points, three rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block.

He is 38 but still among the best players in the NBA and is coming off a season where he averaged 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds and 6.8 assists per contest while shooting 50.0% from the field.

The Lakers had a tough start to the 2022-23 season but finished strong and went into the NBA playoffs as the seventh seed in the Western Conference (after beating the Minnesota Timberwolves in the play-in tournament).

They beat the Memphis Grizzlies and Golden State Warriors in the first two rounds of the playoffs but lost to the Denver Nuggets in the Conference Finals.

James is entering his sixth season with the Lakers and helped the franchise win the 2020 NBA Championship over the Miami Heat.

As for the Kings, they are coming off a year where they were the third seed in the Western Conference with a 48-34 record.

They lost in the first round to the Golden State Warriors (in seven games).
