On Sunday evening, LeBron James will make NBA history by playing in his 20th All-Star Game.

At 39, he still remains among the most dominant players in the league and is averaging 24.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, 7.8 assists and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 52.0% from the field and 39.5% from the three-point range.

Recently, there was a report from ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and Ramona Shelburne that the Golden State Warriors made an attempt to land James in a trade with the Los Angeles Lakers

Before Sunday's All-Star Game, James was interviewed by the NBA on TNT crew and was asked about the trade rumors (h/t Bleacher Report).

Ernie Johnson: "How far did this go, and how much did you entertain that thought?"

James: "It didn't go far at all. I actually heard about it when everybody else heard about it. Obviously, Charles been in the league, Kenny been in the league, SHAQ been in league and sometimes there's conversations happen behind closed doors that you don't even know about. And Until, I guess, if it's real or not, then they'll bring it to you. It never even got to me. I heard it when the reports dropped as well."

James has a $51.4 million player option for the 2024-25 season, so he can become a free agent as early as this summer.

Right now, the Lakers are the ninth seed in the Western Conference with a 30-26 record in 56 games.

He is in his sixth season with the franchise and led them to the 2020 NBA Championship.
