LeBron James Was Asked About Steph Curry Ahead Of Lakers-Warriors Series

On Tuesday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers will play Game 1 of their second-round playoff series against the Golden State Warriors at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California.
While it's only the second round, the series will likely feel much more significant because Steph Curry and LeBron James will face off against each other.
The two superstars have played each other in the NBA Finals four different times (while James was on the Cleveland Cavaliers).
James met with the media on Monday and was asked about Curry (via Mark Medina).
Medina: "In what ways do you think you and Steph have brought out the best in each other, given all those matchups?"
James: "Two of the most competitive players who's ever played this game, and we want to etch our name in the history books as much as we can. Playing, doing it our own way. Like I said, I got nothing but the greatest aspiration, the greatest respect for Steph."

James and the Cavs won the 2016 NBA Championship over the Warriors (by completing the greatest NBA Finals comeback ever), but they lost the other three matchups.
This is the fifth season that the 19-time All-Star has played for the Lakers, and he led the franchise to the NBA Championship in 2020.
They are coming off beating the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round in six games, while the Warriors defeated the Sacramento Kings in Game 7 (on Sunday afternoon).
Whoever wins the series will advance to the Western Conference Finals and face off against either the Denver Nuggets or the Phoenix Suns.
