Los Angeles Clippers Make A Roster Move On Friday
Currently 33-28 at the All-Star break, the Los Angeles Clippers have begun to find their footing in the Western Conference and they control their own fate in regards to finishing the year as a TOp-4 seed heading into the postseason.
With Kawhi Leonard and Paul George healthy, the Clippers are beginning to look like the championship contenders we thought they could be at the beginning of the season and the moves they made at the trade deadline have set them up for a lot of success.
However, with these new additions in Bones Hyland, Eric Gordon and Mason Plumlee, it seemed very likely that one of the players on the end of the Clippers' bench would be losing their roster spot and on Friday, Los Angeles decided to waive Moses Brown.
According to The Athletic's Law Murray, the Clippers will be waiving Brown, who was on a two-way contract with the team and had used all of the 50 games on his two-way deal prior to the All-Star break.
Brown, 23, had signed a two-way contract with the Clippers this season after spending time with both the Dallas Mavericks and Cleveland Cavaliers last season.
Over the course of his four seasons in the NBA, Moses Brown has averaged 5.6 points and 5.3 rebounds per game while shooting 57.1 percent from the floor.
Waiving Brown, the Clippers now have an open two-way roster spot and the team also still has a standard contract spot available on their active roster since only 14 players are under contract at the moment.
Whether or not Los Angeles looks to fill their open roster spot ahead of the end of the season is yet to be determined.
