Gabe Vincent did not get selected in the 2018 NBA Draft but has been able to become a very good player as a pro.

The 27-year-old has spent the previous four seasons with the Miami Heat and helped them make the NBA Finals two times in that span.

This past year, he averaged 9.4 points, 2.1 rebounds and 2.5 assists per contest while shooting 40.2% from the field and 33.4% from the three-point range in 68 regular season games.

During the 2023 NBA Playoffs, his scoring number went up, as he averaged 12.7 points per contest on 37.8% shooting from the three-point range.

On Thursday, the Los Angeles Lakers officially announced that they had signed Vincent.

On June 30, Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium reported the details of Vincent's new contract with the Lakers.

Via Charania: "Free agent guard Gabe Vincent has agreed on a three-year, $33 million deal with the Los Angeles Lakers, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. Vincent’s agent, Bill Neff, negotiated the new deal for a tremendous undrafted success story."

He will be a significant addition to the Lakers, who are coming off an impressive year.

During the middle of the regular season, they were the 13th seed in the Western Conference.

Still, the Lakers finished as the seventh seed and beat the Minnesota Timberwolves in the play-in tournament.

They then defeated the Memphis Grizzlies (second seed) and Golden State Warriors (2022 NBA Champions) before getting swept by the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference Finals.
