Los Angeles Lakers Star Missed Practice Before Clippers Game Due To Illness

On Wednesday evening, the Los Angeles Lakers will face off against the Los Angeles Clippers (as the road team).
During Tuesday's practice, the team was without All-Star forward Anthony Davis, who was dealing with an illness.
Via ESPN's Dave McMenamin: "Anthony Davis did not practice Tuesday because of an upper-respiratory illness, the team says. His status for tomorrow’s game against the Clippers is TBD."
Davis is in the middle of another fantastic season with averages of 24.9 points, 12.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.1 steals and 2.4 blocks per contest while shooting 55.7% from the field and 27.1% from the three-point range in 55 games.
The Lakers are the tenth seed in the Western Conference with a 31-28 record in 59 games.
They are 7-3 over their last ten games but most recently lost to Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns by a score of 123-113.
Davis had 22 points, 14 rebounds, three steals and two blocks while shooting 11/17 from the field in 42 minutes of playing time.
Following the Clippers, the Lakers will host Kyle Kuzma and the Washington Wizards on Thursday evening in Los Angeles.
As for the Clippers, they are the fourth seed in the Western Conference with a 37-19 record in 56 games.
They are 6-4 over their last ten games and most recently lost to the Sacramento Kings by a score of 123-107.
Following the Lakers, the Clippers will host the Washington Wizards on Friday evening.
