UPDATE: Luka Doncic has been ruled out (h/t ESPN's Tim MacMahon).

On Friday evening, the Dallas Mavericks will host Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors in Texas.

For the game, the Mavs will likely be without their best player, as All-Star forward Luka Doncic is on the injury report.

Via ESPN's Tim MacMahon: "Luka Doncic has been downgraded to doubtful."

Doncic has had an incredible season with averages of 33.8 points, 9.2 rebounds, 9.8 assists and 1.5 steals per contest while shooting 48.6% from the field and 38.2% from the three-point range in 67 games.

The Mavs are the fifth seed in the Western Conferecne with a 46-30 record in 76 games.

They have gone 8-2 over their last ten games and most recently beat the Atlanta Hawks (at home) by a score of 109-95.

Doncic had 25 points, 12 rebounds, eight assists, two steals and one block while shooting 8/25 from the field and 6/15 from the three-point range in 37 minutes of playing time.

Following their matchup with Golden State, the Mavs will play their next game on Sunday afternoon when they host the Houston Rockets in Dallas.

As for the Warriors, they are the tenth seed in the Western Conference with a 42-34 record in 76 games.

They have gone 7-3 over their last ten games and are also in the middle of a six-game winning streak.

Following their matchup with Dallas, the Warriors will play their next game on Sunday evening when they return home to host the Utah Jazz at the Chase Center in San Francisco.
