Dillon Brooks is one of the most vocal and hard-nosed players in the entire NBA and the Memphis Grizzlies wing has had to pay quite a bit of fines this season as a result.

Entering Monday night's game against the Dallas Mavericks, Brooks had a total of 17 technical fouls, the most in the league, and he had already served a one-game suspension as a result.

After taunting the Mavericks' bench in Monday night's win, Brooks picked up his 18th technical foul of the season, resulting in another one-game suspension by the NBA. On Tuesday, the league announced that this technical foul would not be rescinded and that Dillon Brooks will miss the Grizzlies' next game on Wednesday against the Houston Rockets.

Per league release, Brooks is serving his second one-game suspension due to the league's rule in which a player is automatically suspended without pay for one game ponce he receives his 16th technical foul during the regular season. For every two additional technical fouls, which Brooks has received, the player will be automatically suspended without pay for an additional game.

Dillon Brooks picked up his 18th technical foul on Monday night against the Mavericks for taunting Dallas' Theo Pinson, calling him a "cheerleader" and waiving his arms as if he had pom-poms in them.

"The dude was standing up on the bench. He should be sitting down," Brooks said after the game in reference to the league's new bench decorum rules. "We should be putting that on notice, but I just wanna let him know he's a cheerleader."

The good news for the Grizzlies is that superstar guard Ja Morant should be returning to the floor for Memphis' next game and Brooks will be serving his one-game suspension against the Houston Rockets, who currently have the second-worst record in the league.

Dillon Brooks will be eligible to return for Friday's game in which the Grizzlies will host the Rockets once again.
