On Tuesday evening, the Memphis Grizzlies will be in New Orleans to face off against Brandon Ingram and the Pelicans.

Before the game, the team announced that they had made a roster move by assigning a player to the G League.

Via Grizzlies PR: "The @memgrizz have assigned Jake LaRavia to the @MemphisHustle."

LaRavia has played in eight NBA games so far this season and is averaging 3.3 points and 1.4 rebounds per contest while shooting 34.4% from the field and 15.0% from the three-point range.

The 22-year-old was the 19th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft and is in his second season in the league (all with the Grizzlies).

His career averages are 3.0 points and 1.7 rebounds per contest while shooting 37.8% from the field and 29.7% from the three-point range in 43 regular season games.

He will likely spend a lot of time going back and forth between the Grizzlies and the Hustle (G League).

As for the Grizzlies, they have gotten off to a slow start to the season and come into the night with a 6-19 record in their first 25 games.

They are 3-7 over their last ten games and in the middle of a five-game losing streak.

Most recently, the Grizzlies lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder by a score of 116-97.

LaRavia had three points and three rebounds while shooting 1/4 from the field in 12 minutes of playing time.

Following the Pelicans, the Grizzlies will play their next game on Thursday evening when they host Myles Turner and the Indiana Pacers in Tennessee.
