Miami Heat Make Roster Move Before Bulls Game
On Saturday evening, the Miami Heat will host the Chicago Bulls in Florida.
Before the game, the team made a roster move by recalling Nikola Jovic from the G League (via the G League's official transactions page).
The Heat also announced that he will be available.
Via The Heat: "UPDATE: Nikola Jovic is available to play in tonight’s game."
Jovic has played in four games so far this season and is averaging 3.5 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists per contest while shooting 33.3% from the field and 42.9% from the three-point range.
He was initially the 27th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft and is in his second season in the league (all with the Heat).
The 20-year-old will likely spend a lot of time going back and forth between the G League and the NBA this season.
As for the Heat, they enter the matchup with a 14-11 record in their first 25 games, which has them as the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference.
They are 4-6 over their last ten games and most recently lost to the Bulls (also in Florida) by a score of 124-116 on Thursday evening.
Following the Bulls, the Heat will host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday evening.
At home, the Heat have gone 6-5 in 11 games played in Miami, Florida.
Meanwhile, the Bulls are 10-16 in their first 26 games, which has them as the 12th seed in the Eastern Conference.
They are 5-5 over their last ten games and 3-9 in 12 games on the road.
