Jimmy Butler Makes Exciting Announcement
Jimmy Butler is coming off another sensational season with the Miami Heat.
The six-time NBA All-Star averaged 22.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.8 steals per contest while shooting 53.9% from the field and 35.0% from the three-point range.
On Saturday morning, Butler made an exciting announcement when he shared a video on Twitter about his upcoming basketball and cheer camp.
Butler captioned the video: "let’s get to work! join me for my youth basketball & cheer camp august 26th & 27th in fort lauderdale, fl! open to ages 7-18, all skill levels! register at link in @CSA_Camps bio. see you there! 🏀📣"
Butler is one of the most popular players in the NBA (and the best player on the Heat).
Therefore, the youth camp will likely be a significant event in South Florida.
The former Marquette star joined the franchise in the summer of 2019, so he is going into his fifth year with the Heat.
This past year, they were the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference but made it all the way to the NBA Finals (before losing to the Denver Nuggets in five games).
Butler played in 22 playoff games and averaged an incredible 26.9 points, 6.5 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 1.8 steals per contest while shooting 46.8% from the field and 35.9% from the three-point range.
Since joining the Heat, he has led them to the playoffs in all four seasons and they have been to the NBA Finals twice.
In addition to the Heat, Butler has also played for the Chicago Bulls, Minnesota Timberwolves and Philadelphia 76ers over 12 seasons in the league.
