Miami Heat Reportedly Make A Bold Decision Before Game 7
On Monday evening, the Miami Heat will be in Massachusetts to face off against the Boston Celtics for Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
The Heat are on the verge of becoming the first team in NBA history to blow a 3-0 lead in a Playoff series.
That said, a victory would advance them to the NBA Finals to face off against Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets (Game 1 is on Thursday).
According to Andy Slater of Fox Sports 640 South Florida, the Heat have already booked a flight to Denver that would leave from Boston right after the game.
Via Slater: "The Heat have a flight scheduled to Denver, not Miami, after the game tonight, per FAA records."
This is the third time in the previous four seasons that the Heat and Celtics have faced off in the Conference Finals.
Each team has won once, but they both lost in the NBA Finals.
The Heat have had a miraculous postseason because they are the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference and have defeated the Milwaukee Bucks (first seed) and New York Knicks (fifth seed) through the first two rounds.
In Game 6, they looked like they were going to end the series, but Celtics' guard Derrick White made a miraculous buzzer-beater to force Game 7.
The Celtics are the second seed and are coming off a year where they beat the Heat in Game 7 of the Conference Finals.
They lost to the Golden State Warriors in the Finals (in six games).
