On Monday evening, the Minnesota Timberwolves were in Florida facing off against Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat.   

The game was close, but the Timberwolves were able to win by a score of 112-108. 

All-Star guard Anthony Edwards led the way with 32 points, eight rebounds, five assists, three steals and two blocks while shooting 13/25 from the field and 2/9 from the three-point range. 

Following the game (on Tuesday), the Timberwolves announced that two players have been sent to the G League.  

Via Timberwolves PR: "NEWS: @Timberwolves assign forward Josh Minott and transfer guard Daishen Nix to G League affiliate @iawolves."

Minott has played in 11 NBA games so far this season and is averaging 1.8 points per contest while shooting 57.1% from the field.  

He was the 45th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft out of Memphis and is in his second season in the league (all with the Timberwolves).  

Meanwhile, Nix has played in six NBA games so far this season and is averaging 1.3 points per contest while shooting 37.5% from the field. 

After spending two seasons with the Houston Rockets, he is in his first season with Minnesota. 

As for the Timberwolves, they are the first seed in the Western Conference with a 20-5 record in their first 25 games. 

They are in the middle of a three-game winning streak and are 9-1 over their last ten games. 

Following the Heat, the Timberwolves will play their next game on Wednesday evening when they visit Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers.
