Blockbuster NBA Trade Could Reportedly Be On The Horizon

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, the Miami Heat and Phoenix Suns are "in serious talks" with the Washington Wizards for Bradley Beal.

On June 22, the 2023 NBA Draft will take place at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

With one of the biggest nights of the offseason on the horizon, trade rumors around the league have begun to amplify.

Most recently, Washington Wizards All-Star Bradley Beal has been a name that continues to come up when reports are being made about potential stars that could be on the move this summer.

On Saturday, Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium reports that the Wizards are "in serious talks" with the Miami Heat and Phoenix Suns.

Via Charania: "Developing: Washington is in serious talks with two finalists – Miami and Phoenix – on a Bradley Beal trade, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. The Suns have emerged as a serious threat for Beal, who holds a no-trade clause."

In addition, Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report and the NBA on TNT added more context about a potential deal between the Suns and Wizards.

Via Haynes: "Phoenix can offer trade package of Deandre Ayton and Landry Shamet to Washington for Bradley Beal, but it’s believed a Chris Paul, Shamet deal is what it would take if Beal chose to force his way to Suns via his no-trade clause, league sources tell @NBAonTNT@BleacherReport."

Beal was the third pick in the 2012 NBA Draft out of Florida and has spent his entire career with the Wizards.

That said, the franchise has missed the NBA Playoffs in each of the last two seasons and has been unable to win a Playoff series since 2017.

The 29-year-old is coming off a year where he averaged 23.2 points, 3.9 rebounds and 5.4 assists per contest while shooting 50.6% from the field and 36.5% from the three-point range.
