Knicks And Bulls G League Teams Made A Trade
Jalen Harris most recently played in the NBA during the 2020-21 season when he spent his rookie year with the Toronto Raptors.
That season, he averaged 7.4 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists per contest while shooting 50.0% from the field and 47.2% from the three-point range.
Last year, he played in seven G League regular season games for the Westchester Knicks (G League affiliate New York Knicks) and averaged 11.6 points, 3.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists per contest while shooting 31.9% from the field and 31.6% from the three-point range.
On Thursday, the Westchester Knicks traded Harris to the Windy City Bulls (G League affiliate of the Chicago Bulls).
Via The Windy City Bulls: "The Windy City Bulls have acquired the returning player rights to Jalen Harris from the Westchester Knicks in exchange for the returning player rights to Aaron Wheeler."
Wheeler is coming off a year where he played for the Windy City Bulls and Greensboro Swarm.
In 28 regular season games, he averaged 7.6 points and 3.5 rebounds per contest while shooting 47.7% from the field and 25.7% from the three-point range.
As for the Knicks, they are coming off a season where they were the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference.
They beat the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round of the NBA playoffs but lost to the Miami Heat in the second round.
Meanwhile, the Bulls finished as the tenth seed in the east and lost to the Toronto Raptors in the first game of the play-in tournament.
