UPDATE: The New York Knicks have officially waived DaQuan Jeffries.

On Saturday evening, the New York Knicks will face off against the Indiana Pacers in Indianapolis.

Before the game, Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium reported that the Knicks had agreed to a blockbuster deal with the Toronto Raptors to acquire OG Anunoby.

Charania also reported that the Knicks will waive DaQuan Jeffries in a related move.

Jeffries has played in ten games so far this season and is averaging 1.1 points per contest.

Via Charania: "Knicks are waiving swingman DaQuan Jeffries to create roster space for this trade, sources said."

In addition to the Knicks, Jeffries has also spent time with the Sacramento Kings, Houston Rockets and Memphis Grizzlies.

His career averages are 3.3 points and 1.7 rebounds per contest while shooting 43.7% from the field and 28.6% from the three-point range in 57 regular season games.

He also appeared in two NBA playoff games (with the Knicks) last season.

As for the Knicks, they are the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference with a 17-14 record in their first 31 games.

They are in the middle of a two-game losing streak and are 5-5 over their last ten games.

Most recently, the Knicks lost to the Orlando Magic (in Florida) by a score of 117-108.

Following the Pacers, they will return home to host Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves at Madison Square Garden on Monday evening in Manhattan.

On the road, the Knicks are 9-10 in 19 games, while they are 8-4 in 12 games on their home floor.
