New York Knicks Reportedly Sign A Player

According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, the New York Knicks will sign Obadiah Noel.

Obadiah Noel is coming off a year where he played in the G League and averaged 10.6 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.4 steals per contest while shooting 48.7% from the field and 38.2% from the three-point range in 29 regular season games (he also appeared in ten Showcase Cup games).

The 24-year-old was a free agent, and on Thursday, Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reported that he will sign an Exhibit 10 deal with the New York Knicks.

Via Scotto: "The New York Knicks are signing Obadiah Noel to an Exhibit 10 contract, league sources told @hoopshype. Noel averaged 10.6 points on 48.7 percent shooting from the field and 37.7 percent from 3-point range for the Westchester Knicks last season."

Since Noel's contract is an Exhibit 10, he will likely be on the training camp roster and then go to their G League team.

Noel initially went undrafted in 2021 and has yet to make his NBA debut (he has spent the previous two seasons in the G League).

In college, he played four seasons for UMass-Lowell and averaged 14.6 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists per contest while shooting 48.4% from the field and 35.8% from the three-point range in 111 games.

As for the Knicks, they are coming off a year where they were the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference and beat the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round of the NBA playoffs.

However, they lost to the Miami Heat in the second round (in six games).
