On Friday evening, the Denver Nuggets were in New York facing off against the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Center.

At the end of the game, two-time MVP Nikola Jokic had a massive gash on his arm, and blood got on his jersey.

Thankfully, nothing was severe and Jokic was able to keep playing, but the photo/video went viral on social media (h/t ESPN's SportsCenter and X user chiefottososa).

Via SportsCenter's Instagram caption: "Jokic had a nasty gash that bled on his jersey 😳 (h/t chiefottososa/x)"

Jokic finished his night with 31 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists, three steals and two blocks while shooting 12/17 from the field and 2/2 from the three-point range in 34 minutes of playing time.

The Nuggets won the game by a score of 122-117, which improved their record to 20-10 in their first 30 games.

They are the third seed in the Western Conference and in the middle of a three-game winning streak.

Following the Nets, the Nuggets will now travel to North Carolina to face off against the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday evening.

On the road, they are 9-8 in the 17 games they have played away from Denver.

Jokic has played in 29 games so far this season and is now averaging 26.7 points, 12.3 rebounds, 9.2 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 54.4% from the field and 33.3% from the three-point range.

He is arguably the best player in the league and is coming off a season where he led the Nuggets to the 2023 NBA Championship over the Miami Heat.
