RJ Barrett's Instagram Post After Raptors-Knicks Game
On Saturday evening, RJ Barrett and the Toronto Raptors faced off against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
Barrett made his return to New York after getting traded in December.
However, the Knicks were able to win by a score of 126-100.
After the game, Barrett made a post to Instagram with a video.
The former Duke star finished his night with 20 points, eight rebounds, four assists and one steal while shooting 8/15 from the field and 1/3 from the three-point range in 29 minutes of playing time.
Barrett captioned his post: "🙏🏾9️⃣"
Barrett was the third pick in the 2019 NBA Draft and had spent the first four and a half seasons of his career with New York.
He helped the franchise make the NBA playoffs in two of the previous three seasons, and last year they reached the second round for the first time since 2013.
Right now, the 23-year-old is averaging 18.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.8 assists per contest while shooting 45.8% from the field and 34.7% from the three-point range in 37 games.
With the loss, the Raptors dropped to 16-27 in their first 43 games, which has them as the 12th seed in the Eastern Conference.
They are in the middle of a two-game losing streak and are 3-7 over their last ten games.
Following New York, the Raptors will now return home to face off against the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday evening in Canada.
As for the Knicks, they improved to 26-17 in 43 games, which has them as the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference.
