On Saturday evening, the Los Angeles Clippers hosted the New York Knicks in California.

Russell Westbrook played in his 1,119th regular season game, which moved him ahead of Trevor Ariza for sole possession of 70th on the all-time regular season games played list.

Following Ariza, the next player for Westbrook to pass will be Rudy Gay (1,120).

The Clippers won the game by a score of 144-122, and Westbrook finished his night with ten points, six rebounds, four assists and one steal while shooting 4/7 from the field in 15 minutes of playing time.

Westbrook is now averaging 11.2 points, 6.3 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.1 steals per contest in 24 games.

After a slow start to the season, the Clippers are now the hottest team in the league and have won seven games in a row.

They improved to 15-10 in their first 25 games, which has them as the sixth seed in the Western Conference.

Following the Knicks, the Clippers will play their next game on Monday when they visit the Indiana Pacers.

Westbrook is in his 16th season playing in the NBA and has also spent time with the Washington Wizards, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers, and Oklahoma City Thunder.

The nine-time NBA All-Star has career averages of 22.1 points, 7.3 rebounds, 8.3 assists and 1.6 steals per contest while shooting 43.8% from the field and 30.5% from the three-point range.

He has also appeared in 116 NBA playoff games and reached the 2012 Finals with the Thunder.
