Sacramento Kings Player Fined By NBA Following Nets Game

On Monday evening, the Sacramento Kings defeated the Brooklyn Nets by a score of 131-118 (at home in California).
All-Star point guard De'Aaron Fox led the way with 29 points, three rebounds and eight assists while shooting 10/22 from the field and 5/10 from the three-point range.

Malik Monk had 21 points, two rebounds, nine assists and one steal while shooting 8/13 from the field and 4/7 from the three-point range.
Following the game, the NBA announced that Monk had been $2,000.

Monk is averaging 15.0 points, 2.8 rebounds and 4.9 assists per contest while shooting 44.0% from the field and 43.2% from the three-point range in 21 games.
With the victory, the Kings improved to 13-8 in their first 21 games, which has them as the fifth seed in the Western Conference.
They are 6-4 over their last ten games and in the middle of a two-game winning streak.
On Tuesday evening, the Kings are in Los Angeles facing off against the Clippers.
They are 6-5 in 11 games on the road and 7-3 in the ten games they have hosted in Sacramento.

Monk was the 11th pick in the 2017 NBA Draft out of Kentucky and is in his seventh season in the league.
In addition to the Kings, the 25-year-old has also spent time with the Charlotte Hornets and Los Angeles Lakers.
