On Saturday evening, the Oklahoma City Thunder were in Colorado facing off against the Denver Nuggets.  

With less than one second left, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander made a game-winning shot to give the Thunder a 118-117 victory. 

Gilgeous-Alexander brought the ball up the court and nailed a mid-range turnaround jump shot. 

Gilgeous-Alexander finished the game with 25 points, six rebounds, eight assists and two steals while shooting 9/20 from the field in 37 minutes of playing time. 

He is now averaging 30.7 points, 5.5 rebounds, 6.4 assists and 2.7 steals per contest while shooting 54.1% from the field and 32.4% from the three-point range in 23 games. 

The Thunder improved to 16-8 over their first 24 games, which has them as the second seed in the Western Conference. 

They are also 8-4 in the 12 games they have played on the road away from Oklahoma City. 

Following the Nuggets, the Thunder will play their next game on Monday evening when they host the Memphis Grizzlies. 

In addition to Gilgeous-Alexander's big night, Chet Holmgren had 17 points, 11 rebounds, one assist and nine blocks while shooting 6/12 from the field and 1/4 from the three-point range in 32 minutes of playing time. 

As for the Nuggets, they fell to 17-10 in their first 27 games, which has them as the fourth seed in the Western Conference. 

They had their three-game winning streak snapped and are now 10-2 in the 12 games they have hosted in Denver. 

Following the Thunder, the Nuggets will now host the Dallas Mavericks on Monday.
