UPDATE: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been ruled out (h/t ClutchPoints).

On Friday evening, the Oklahoma City Thunder will host Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns in Oklahoma.

For the game, the Thunder will likely remain without their best player, as Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is on the injury report.

The All-Star guard missed the team's last game, so this would be his second straight out of action (if he doesn't play).

Via Clemente Almanza of OKC Thunder Wire: "Shai Gilgeous-Alexander with some light cardio at today’s shootaround. The Oklahoma City Thunder franchise star is doubtful tonight with a quad contusion."

Gilgeous-Alexander has had an incredible season and is averaging 30.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 2.1 steals per contest while shooting 54.0% from the field and 36.7% from the three-point range in 70 games.

The Thunder are also among the best teams in the league with a 50-22 record in 72 games, which has them as the third seed in the Western Conference.

They have gone 7-3 over their last ten games but most recently lost to the Houston Rockets (at home) by a score of 132-126 (in overtime).

Following the Suns, the Thunder will play their next game on Sunday evening when they visit Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.

As for the Suns, they are the seventh seed in the Western Conference with a 43-30 record in 73 games.

They have gone 6-4 over their last ten games.

Following Oklahoma City, the Suns will play their next game on Monday evening when they visit the New Orleans Pelicans.
