The two-time MVP shot an impressive 7/12 from the field and played more of a distributor role in the game.
For reference, Curry is averaging 23.1 shots per game during the 2023 NBA Playoffs (11 more than he took in Game 2).
Following the victory, the nine-time All-Star met with the media and was asked about his performance.
Reporter: "Do you take an extra pride in doing things in a traditional way? Even if you're not a "traditional point guard"."
Curry: "The labels and all that stuff, I don't ever get into it, just because labels usually demean or try to bottle up greatness in the sense of what we try to do on a night-to-night basis. We do it a lot of different ways. I do it a lot of different ways. How you want to describe it or label it doesn't matter to me. When you watch us play, you know how we do things and how I try to impact games. Whether that's shooting 38 times or shooting 12 and trying to find what the defense is giving you."
The 35-year-old is averaging 31.4 points, 4.9 rebounds and 5.4 assists per contest though the first nine games of the 2023 NBA Playoffs.
Game 3 will be on Saturday night in Los Angeles, California.
