UPDATE: The Golden State Warriors have announced an update on Steph Curry.  

Via The Golden State Warriors: "Stephen Curry, who suffered a sprained right ankle during last Thursday’s game, has been cleared to resume on-court workouts in the Bay Area and is expected to join the team for practice in Los Angeles on Friday. 

He will be re-evaluated again following Friday’s practice."

On Monday evening, the Golden State Warriors played the San Antonio Spurs in Texas.

They were without their best player (Steph Curry) for the second straight game but were still able to win by a score of 112-102.

Chris Paul led the way with 19 points, nine rebounds and eight assists. 

Before the game, Curry made a promising post to his Instagram story. 

The two-time MVP posted a photo of his foot in an ice bucket. 

Curry captioned the photo: "We working...."

Curry initially got injured at the end of Thursday's 125-122 loss to the Chicago Bulls. 

On March 9, the Warriors announced an update on Curry. 

Via The Golden State Warriors on March 9: "Stephen Curry received an MRI that confirmed a sprained right ankle after exiting Thursday's game against the Bulls. 

Curry will not play in tonight’s game against the Spurs and will be re-evaluated again on Tuesday."

Curry will turn 36 on Thursday but still remains among the best ten players in the NBA. 

He is currently averaging 26.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.9 assists per contest while shooting 44.9% from the field and 40.7% from the three-point range in 59 games. 

The Warriors are the tenth seed in the Western Conference with a 34-30 record in 64 games.  

They are 6-4 over their last ten games and will play the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday evening in Texas. 

After the Warriors beat the Spurs, head coach Steve Kerr spoke about Curry (h/t Warriors on NBCS). 

Kerr: "I don't expect him to play in Dallas."
