Steph Curry Made NBA History In Lakers-Warriors Game
On Saturday evening, the Golden State Warriors are hosting the Los Angeles Lakers at the Chase Center in San Francisco.
Steph Curry is playing in his 922nd career game, which moves ahead of Richard Hamilton and Dick Van Arsdale for sole possession of 232nd on the NBA's all-time regular season games played list.
Following Hamilton and Van Arsdale, the next players for Curry to pass will be Jalen Rose (923) and Mark Aguirre (923).
Curry entered the matchup with averages of 26.8 points, 4.2 rebounds and 4.9 assists per contest while shooting 44.8% from the field and 40.2% from the three-point range in 39 games.
He has played at an MVP level, but the Warriors are only the 12th seed in the Western Conference with a 19-23 record in their first 42 games.
Most recently, the Warriors lost to the Sacramento Kings (at home) by a score of 134-133.
In 36 minutes of playing time, Curry had 33 points, six rebounds, two assists and one steal while shooting 13/26 from the field and 6/14 from the three-point range.
Following the Lakers, the Warriors will host Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday evening at the Chase Center.
As for the Lakers, they entered the evening with a 23-23 record in their first 46 games, which has them as the ninth seed in the Western Conference.
They are 6-4 over their last ten games, and following the Warriors, they will travel to Texas for a matchup with the Houston Rockets on Monday.
