Steve Kerr's Brutally Honest Statement After Warriors-Nuggets Game
On Monday afternoon, the Golden State Warriors faced off against the Denver Nuggets in Colorado.
The Warriors had a one-point lead at halftime but ended up losing by a score of 120-114.
After the game, head coach Steve Kerr met with the media, and one of his quotes went viral on social media (h/t Warriors on NBCS).
Kerr: "If I were a fan, I wouldn't have wanted to watch the second half of that game. It was disgusting. It was just baiting refs into calls, but the refs have to make those calls because that's how they're taught."
With the loss, the Warriors dropped to 15-15 in their first 30 games, which has them as the 11th seed in the Western Conference.
They also had their five-game winning streak snapped but are still 6-4 over the last ten games.
Andrew Wiggins led the team with 22 points, three rebounds, two assists and one block while shooting 7/11 from the field and 2/4 from the three-point range in 29 minutes of playing time.
The Warriors will now return home to host Bam Adebayo and the Miami Heat on Thursday at the Chase Center in San Francisco.
On the road, they are 6-9 in 15 games, while they are 9-6 in 15 games at home.
As for the Nuggets, they improved to 22-10 in their first 32 games, which has them as the second seed in the Western Conference.
They are 8-2 over their last ten games and in the middle of a five-game winning streak.
