On Monday evening, the Golden State Warriors lost to the Memphis Grizzlies (in Tennessee) by a score of 116-107.

The Grizzlies were playing without a lot of key players, while the Warriors had Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green all in action.

That said, the Warriors lost the second half by 11 points and committed 25 total fouls in the game (the Grizzlies committed 12).

After the tough loss, head coach Steve Kerr met with the media (h/t Warriors on NBCS).

Kerr: "We have to understand where we are as a team. What our record is. Where we are in the Western Conference, what that means is we have to be sharp; we have to play a smart, clean game. We can't turn it over, we can't reach, we can't foul and we did all those things."

Steph Curry led the team with 26 points, while Jonathan Kuminga had 20 points and 11 rebounds.

Kuminga has scored 20+ points in each of the previous three games.

Meanwhile, the Grizzlies were led by Vince Williams Jr., who had 24 points, seven rebounds, four assists, two steals and one block.

With the loss, the Warriors dropped to 18-22 in their first 40 games, which has them as the 12th seed in the Western Conference.

They are just 3-7 over their last ten games and in the middle of a two-game losing streak.

Following the Grizzlies, the Warriors will face off against the Jazz on Wednesday evening in Utah.

On the road, they are 7-11 in 18 games.
