Steve Kerr Spoke About Klay Thompson After Thunder-Warriors Game

Steve Kerr met with the media after the Golden State Warriors lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

On Thursday evening, the Golden State Warriors lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder by a score of 128-109.

The Warriors came into the matchup shorthanded, as they were playing without Steph Curry and Draymond Green.

However, four-time NBA Champion Klay Thompson was unable to step up and scored just five points on 1/10 shooting from the field and 1/6 from the three-point range (he also had two rebounds, three assists and one steal).

After the game, head coach Steve Kerr was asked about Thompson (h/t Warriors on NBCS).

Reporter: "Klay obviously struggled shooting again. Do you want him to try to get going? You can't tell Klay not to shoot obviously. What's the conversation there? What's the emphasis for him?"

Kerr: "Just to be patient. It's tough. They loaded up on him and made it really tough on him. They had Dort draped all over him, doing a good job defensively. We weren't really able to create any space for him with our lineups, with our offense, they just kept him really smothered. He was trying to get his own shot, and he took a lot of tough ones. Out of frustration, I think he's just trying to get himself going, but we've gotta try to find a way to get him some cleaner looks."

The Warriors fell to 6-7 in their first 13 games, and they are now in the middle of a five-game losing streak.

They will host the Thunder (again) on Saturday evening at the Chase Center.
