After 18 seasons of playing for the Green Bay Packers, Aaron Rodgers made his debut with the New York Jets (on Monday night) when they hosted the Buffalo Bills in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

However, during the Jets' first drive, the Super Bowl Champion got injured, and he did not return for the remainder of the evening (the Jets won 22-16 in overtime).

Rodgers was trending all over social media, and one person who sent out a post (on X) was Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant.

In less than 24 hours, his post already had 45,000 likes and 5.2 million impressions.

Durant wrote: "I’m so sick right now. Get well soon 8…"

On Tuesday morning, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Rodgers had been ruled out for the remainder of the season.

Via Schefter: "An MRI confirmed today that Aaron Rodgers officially tore his Achilles on the fourth play of his Jets’ career.

Rodgers’ season now, officially, is over. There already are questions about whether his Hall-of-Fame career is, too."

As for Durant, he knows Rodgers, and the two were seen working out at Proactive Sports Performance (in California) over the summer.

Durant is coming off a year where he played for the Brooklyn Nets and Suns.

He got traded to Phoenix in the middle of the season and finished the year with averages of 29.1 points, 6.7 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.4 blocks per contest while shooting 56.0% from the field and 40.4% from the three-point range in 47 games (the Suns lost to the Denver Nuggets in the second round of the NBA playoffs).
