On Wednesday evening, the Atlanta Hawks will host the Charlotte Hornets at State Farm Arena in Georgia.

For the game, the Hawks could get their best player back in the starting lineup, as All-Star point guard Trae Young is listed as questionable.

Via Underdog NBA: "Trae Young (finger) listed questionable Wednesday."

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski also reported a positive update.

Via Wojnarowski: "Atlanta Hawks All-Star guard Trae Young is nearing a return and could play as soon as tonight vs. the Charlotte Hornets, sources tell ESPN. Young had been out since surgery to repair a torn ligament in a finger on February 25. The Hawks hold the final Eastern Play-In spot."

Young had been in the middle of another incredible season with averages of 26.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, 10.8 assists and 1.4 steals per contest while shooting 42.6% from the field and 37.1% from the three-point range in 51 games.

The Hawks are the tenth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 36-43 record in 79 games.

They have gone 6-4 over their last ten games but are also in the middle of a three-game losing streak.

Following Wednesday's showdown with the Hornets, the Hawks will play their next game on Friday evening when they visit the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center.
