Trae Young Made NBA History In Hawks-Rockets Game

On Wednesday evening, the Atlanta Hawks are in Houston facing off against the Rockets.
During the game, Trae Young made NBA history by moving ahead of Lamar Odom (3,554) and Walt Hazzard (3,555) for 161st on the all-time assists list.
Following Odom and Hazzard, the next player for Young to pass will be Hall of Famer Pete Maravich (3,563).
Young came into the evening with averages of 28.1 points, 3.0 rebounds, 11.0 assists and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 42.9% from the field and 37.8% from the three-point range in 24 games.
The Hawks are 11-15 in their first 26 games, which has them as the tenth seed in the Eastern Conference.
They are 3-7 over their last ten games and most recently beat the Detroit Pistons by a score of 130-124.

Young was the fifth pick in the 2018 NBA Draft out of Oklahoma and is in his sixth season (all with the Hawks).
