FINAL UPDATE: Trae Young has been ruled out.

On Saturday night, the Atlanta Hawks will be in Colorado to take on the Denver Nuggets.

However, they could be without their best player, as superstar point guard Trae Young is on the injury report with an illness.

Via The Hawks: "An @emoryhealthcare injury report for tonight’s game at Denver:

Trae Young (non-COVID illness): Questionable"

The two-time NBA All-Star is averaging an outstanding 27.0 points, 2.9 rebounds and 9.9 assists per contest.

He has led the Hawks to the NBA Playoffs in each of the last two seasons, and in 2021 they went to Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Young has averaged at least 25.3 points and 9.3 assists every season he's been in the NBA (outside of his rookie year).

Right now, the Hawks are the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 27-26 record in 53 games.

They are in the middle of a two-game winning streak and are 6-4 in their last ten games.

On the road, the Hawks are 14-15 in the 29 games they have played outside of Atlanta.

As for the Nuggets, they are the best team in the Western Conference, with a 36-16 record in 52 games.

They are in the middle of a two-game winning streak and are 7-3 in their last ten games.

At home, the Nuggets are 24-4 in 28 games hosted in Denver.

Last season, both teams lost in the first round of the NBA Playoffs, but they each have the talent to make a deep run in the 2023 playoffs.
