Utah Jazz Player Fined $2,000 By NBA
On Saturday evening, the Utah Jazz played the Phoenix Suns on the road in Arizona and lost by a score of 126-104.
Jordan Clarkson had seven points, two rebounds and two assists in 22 minutes of playing time.
On Sunday, the NBA announced that they had fined Clarkson $2,000 for flopping during the game.
Via NBA Official: "UTA’s Jordan Clarkson was assessed a postgame Flopping fine of $2,000 upon league office review for https://nba.com/watch/video/clarkson-flop-utah-vs-phoenix… on Oct. 28 vs. PHX."
The Jazz are 1-2 in their first three games and in Colorado to take on the Denver Nuggets on Monday evening.
Clarkson is in his tenth season in the league and his fourth playing for the Jazz.
Last season, the 2021 6th Man of The Year averaged 20.8 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.4 assists per contest while shooting 44.4% from the field in 61 games.
After getting off to a hot start to the season, the Jazz finished the year as the 12th seed in the Western Conference and missed the NBA playoffs.
In addition to the Jazz, Clarkson has also spent time with the Los Angeles Lakers and Cleveland Cavaliers.
He has career averages of 15.9 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.7 assists per contest while shooting 44.0% from the field and 33.8% from the three-point range in 664 regular season games (he has also appeared in 43 NBA playoff games).
Following the Nuggets, the Jazz will play their next game on Wednesday when they host the Memphis Grizzlies in Salt Lake City.
