On Thursday evening, the San Antonio Spurs are in Oregon, facing off against the Portland Trail Blazers.

During the first half, Victor Wembanyama had an impressive defensive sequence that is getting a lot of attention on social media.

Moses Brown went up for a shot, and Wembanyama blocked his attempt.

Brown caught the ball and attempted another shot, and Wembanyama sent it out of bounds.

Wembanyama came into the evening with averages of 18.3 points, 10.6 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.3 steals and 3.0 blocks per contest while shooting 43.3% from the field and 27.8% from the three-point range in 26 games.

He has gotten off to a strong start to his rookie season and is an impressive rim protector.

That said, the Spurs have been among the worst teams in the league and have a 4-25 record in their first 29 games.

They are 1-9 over their last ten games and in the middle of a five-game losing streak.

Most recently, the Spurs lost to the Utah Jazz by a score of 130-118, and Wembanyama had 15 points, seven rebounds, four assists, one steal and five blocks while shooting 6/15 from the field and 1/4 from the three-point range.

Following Thursday's game, the Spurs and Trail Blazers will face off (again) on Friday evening in Portland.

On the road, the Spurs have gone 2-12 in 14 games played away from San Antonio.

As for the Trail Blazers, they are the 14th seed in the Western Conference with an 8-21 record in their first 29 games.
