On Wednesday evening, the San Antonio Spurs hosted the Los Angeles Lakers in Texas.

Despite a 45-point fourth quarter, the Spurs lost the game by a score of 122-119.

During the game, Victor Wembanyama had a big dunk that got a lot of attention on social media

Devin Vassell missed a shot, and Wembanyama had an enormous put-back dunk over Christian Wood.

The 19-year-old finished his night with 30 points, 13 rebounds, two assists, two steals and six blocks while shooting 11/21 from the field and 4/5 from the three-point range in 32 minutes of playing time.

Wembanyama came into the evening with averages of 18.8 points, 10.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.2 steals and 2.8 blocks per contest while shooting 43.1% from the field and 25.0% from the three-point range in 21 games.

That said, the Spurs have been among the worst teams in the league and are now in the middle of an 18-game losing streak.

They are the 15th seed in the Western Conference and have a 3-20 record in their first 23 games.

In addition, the Spurs are just 1-11 in the 12 games they have hosted on their home floor in San Antonio.

The Spurs and Lakers will face off (again) on Friday in San Antonio.

With the victory, the Lakers improved to 15-10 in their first 25 games, which has them as the sixth seed in the Western Conference.

They are 5-8 in the 13 games they have played on the road away from Los Angeles.
