UPDATE: The Warriors won by a score of 112-102, and Victor Wembanyama finished with 27 points, 14 rebounds, three assists, one steal and two blocks.   

On Monday evening, the San Antonio Spurs are playing the Golden State Warriors (at home in Texas).  

During the second quarter, star rookie Victor Wembanyama had a big highlight, which got a lot of views on social media.

Wembanyama stole the ball and finished off the fast break with a one-handed dunk. 

He ended the first half with ten points, eight rebounds, one assist and one steal while shooting 4/8 from the field and 0/2 from the three-point range in 14 minutes of playing time. 

Wembanyama had missed two games in a row before returning to the starting lineup on Monday evening.   

He is averaging 20.7 points, 10.2 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.3 steals and 3.4 blocks per contest while shooting 46.9% from the field and 33.5% from the three-point range in 56 games. 

The 20-year-old will have an excellent chance to win the 2024 Rookie of The Year Award. 

Despite Wembanyama's success, the Spurs still remain among the worst teams in the league and are the 15th seed (last place) in the Western Conference with a 14-50 record in 64 games. 

They have gone 3-7 over their last ten games but most recently beat the Warriors (on the road) by a score of 126-113. 

Following the Warriors, the Spurs will remain in San Antonio and host the Houston Rockets on Tuesday evening. 

As for the Warriors, they are the tenth seed in the Western Conference and came into the evening with a 33-30 record in 63 games. 

They are in the middle of a two-game losing streak.
