On Saturday evening, the San Antonio Spurs faced off against the Washington Wizards in Washington, D.C.

The game was a thriller, and the Spurs came away with a 131-127 victory to snap a four-game losing streak.

Victor Wembanyama returned to action after a one-game absence and put up 24 points, eight rebounds, four assists and six blocks while shooting 10/21 from the field and 2/5 from the three-point range in 28 minutes of playing time.

After the victory, the talented rookie made an honest admission when he met with the media.

Reporter: "You said your legs felt heavy tonight. Is that unusual for you?"

Wembanyama: "Yeah. Now, two days without playing feels like a week. Now that my body has changed and is adapted to rhythm, hopefully, I can play every game from now on, so it shouldn't be an issue no more, but it's definitely something I've gotta watch."

Wembanyama hasn't been playing in back-to-backs, and he's also been on a minute restriction.

That said, head coach Gregg Popovich provided an update about the 27-minute restriction after the game.

Reporter: "Will that 27 go up by the next game?"

Popovich: "I don't think so, not by next game, but perhaps after that."

With the victory, the Spurs improved to 8-34 in their first 42 games, which has them as the 15th seed in the Western Conference.

Following the Wizards, they will now head to Pennsylvania to face off against 2023 MVP Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday evening.
