On Monday evening, Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs are hosting the Washington Wizards in Texas.

During the first half, Wembanyama had an exciting highlight that got a lot of views on social media.

As Daniel Gafford attempted a shot, Wembanyama rejected it by catching the ball on the way up.

Via The NBA: "Wemby just caught this shot 👀 "

Wembanyama entered the matchup with averages of 20.5 points, 10.1 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.1 steals and 3.1 blocks per contest while shooting 46.5% from the field and 30.5% from the three-point range in 40 games.

He has gotten off to a sensational start to his rookie season and has scored 23+ points in each of the previous eight games.

Despite his success, the Spurs are a franchise that is in rebuilding mode, so they have been among the worst teams in the league.

They are the 15th seed in the Western Conference with a 10-36 record in their first 46 games.

That said, the Spurs have played better as of late and are in the middle of a two-game winning streak.

Most recently, they beat the Minnesota Timberwolves by a score of 113-112.

Wembanyama had 23 points, ten rebounds, six assists, two steals and two blocks while shooting 9/17 from the field and 3/6 from the three-point range in 30 minutes of playing time.

Following the Wizards, the Spurs will remain in San Antonio to host the Orlando Magic on Wednesday evening.

At home, they are 5-17 in 22 games.
