On Saturday evening, the San Antonio Spurs are hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves in Texas.

Star rookie Victor Wembanyama is going up against the talented duo of Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert.

During the first half, Wembanyama made an incredible shot over Gobert, which got a lot of attention on social media.

Gobert is a three-time NBA Defensive Player of The Year, which makes the highlight even more impressive.

Wembanyama has had a very impressive start to his NBA career, as he is averaging 20.5 points, 10.1 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.1 steals and 3.2 blocks per contest while shooting 46.3% from the field in 39 games.

He has scored 23+ points in each of his previous seven games while playing 29 minutes or fewer.

The Spurs are in rebuilding mode, so it's no surprise that they are the 15th seed in the Western Conference with a 9-36 record in their first 45 games.

They are 4-6 over their last ten games and most recently defeated the Portland Trail Blazers by a score of 116-100.

In 29 minutes of playing time, Wembanyama had 23 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocks while shooting 7/18 from the field and 3/7 from the three-point range.

As for the Timberwolves, they are the second seed in the Western Conference with a 32-13 record in their first 45 games.

They are in the middle of a two-game winning streak and have gone 7-3 over their last ten games.
