On Sunday evening, the San Antonio Spurs hosted the Brooklyn Nets in Austin, Texas. 

The game was a thriller, and the Spurs won by a score of 122-115 (in overtime). 

Rookie Victor Wembanyama led the way with 33 points, 15 rebounds, seven assists and seven blocks while shooting 14/26 from the field and 1/7 from the three-point range in 36 minutes of playing time. 

He also made NBA history during the game.

Wembanyama is having an excellent rookie season with averages of 20.8 points, 10.4 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 1.3 steals and 3.5 blocks per contest while shooting 46.7% from field and 32.7% from the three-point range in 60 games.

With the victory, the Spurs improved to 15-53 in 68 games, which has them as the 15th seed in the Western Conference. 

They have gone 4-6 over their last ten games.

Following the Nets, the Spurs will host Kyrie Irving and the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday evening in San Antonio.

As for the Nets, they dropped to 26-42 in 68 games, which has them as the 11th seed in the Eastern Conference.  

They have gone 4-6 over their last ten games and are also in the middle of a three-game losing streak.

Following the Spurs, the Nets will play their next game on Tuesday evening when they host Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans at Barclays Center.
