Victor Wembanyama Made NBA History In Timberwolves-Spurs Game

Victor Wembanyama made NBA history during Saturday's game.

On Saturday evening, the San Antonio Spurs hosted the Minnesota Timberwolves in Texas.

The game was a thriller, and the Spurs were able to win by a score of 113-112.

Devin Vassell led the team with 25 points, four rebounds and five assists.  

Star rookie Victor Wembanyama had another excellent game, and put up 23 points, ten rebounds, six assists, two steals and two blocks while shooting 9/17 from the field and 3/6 from the three-point range in 30 minutes of playing time.  

His stat line also made NBA history.

Wembanyama has played in 40 games and is averaging 20.5 points, 10.1 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.1 steals and 3.1 blocks per contest while shooting 46.5% from the field and 30.5% from the three-point range.  

With the victory, the Spurs improved to 10-36 in their first 46 games, which has them as the 15th seed in the Western Conference. 

They are in the middle of a two-game winning streak and have gone 4-6 over their last ten games.  

Following the Timberwolves, the Spurs will now host Jordan Poole and the Washington Wizards on Monday evening. 

As for the Timberwolves, they dropped to 32-14 in their first 46 games, which has them as the second seed in the Western Conference. 

Following the Spurs, they will now visit Chet Holmgren and the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday evening.
