Victor Wembanyama's Inspiring Quote After Spurs-Bulls Game

Victor Wembanyama met with the media after Thursday's game.

On Thursday evening, the San Antonio Spurs faced off against the Bulls at the United Center in Chicago.

The Spurs lost by a score of 114-95, and Coby White led the way with 22 points.

Victor Wembanyama returned to the lineup after missing Tuesday's game with an ankle injury

The 19-year-old had seven points, five rebounds, five assists, two steals and three blocks while shooting 3/8 from the field in 22 minutes of playing time.

After the game, he met with the media and was asked about why he took fewer shots than usual (he averages 16.3 field goal attempts per contest).

Wembanyama: "My ankle is fine. I don't feel it at all. I think there's some games that I'm not trying to force anything, trying to make my teammates play. I could sacrifice all my shots and take zero shots if it was for the best of our team."

Wembanyama has gotten off to a fantastic start to his rookie season and is averaging 18.5 points, 10.7 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.4 steals and 3.0 blocks per contest while shooting 43.5% from the field and 27.9% from the three-point range in 25 games.

That said, the Spurs are the 15th seed (last place) in the Western Conference with a 4-23 record in their first 27 games.

They are 1-9 over their last ten games and in the middle of a three-game losing streak.

Following the Bulls, the Spurs will visit Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday in Texas.
