UPDATE: Hamidou Diallo and Gabe Kalscheur have been waived.

Hamidou Diallo is coming off a solid year where he appeared in 56 regular season games for the Detroit Pistons.

Diallo averaged 9.3 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.0 assists per contest while shooting 57.3% from the field.

This summer, he became a free agent, and it's now been announced that he has signed a deal with the Washington Wizards.

Via The Wizards: "Official: We have signed Hamidou Diallo and Gabe Kalscheur to Exhibit 10 contracts."

Since both contracts are Exhibit 10, Diallo and Kalscheur will likely be waived and then play in the G League.

Diallo was initially the 45th pick in the 2018 NBA Draft out of Kentucky.

Over five seasons in the league, he has played for the Oklahoma City Thunder and Detroit Pistons.

His career averages are 8.6 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.1 assists per contest while shooting 49.5% from the field in 263 regular season games (he has also appeared in three NBA playoff games).

Meanwhile, Kalscheur went undrafted in June after five seasons of college basketball playing for Iowa State and Minnesota.

Last year, he averaged 12.9 points, 2.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 steals per contest while shooting 40.0% from the field and 35.4% from the three-point range.

As for the Wizards, they are coming off a year where they were the 12th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 35-47 record (they missed the NBA playoffs for the second straight season).

The Wizards will play their first game of the season against the Indiana Pacers on October 25 (in Indianapolis).
